fixed my patina

know it's not everyone's cup of tea but I like a truck with some patina ,as I also like and respect a nice paint job. to me this old truck looked just right other than the half ass rattle can paint job on the passenger quarter panel. afterwards a trip to the salvage yard I found a matching bed side. a few hours and $40 later this is how it looks now ,almost perfect match other than the one reverse

Guys, a general question here. Have a 70 Chev C 20 with many coats of paint. Should I try to take it down to original paint or go through the many colors and leave them as they expose themselves as a form of patina? Is that even possible?

Re: fixed my patina

How often are you guys that use WD40 applying it? I need to do something to protect a few sratched and scraped panels on the inside of the bed sides and tailgate on mine.
Thanks.
