So here are my new aluminum valve covers. I love them they look so cool. I think they make no motor look like a race truck. I had chrome edelbrock ones that kept leaking cause they were warped. So I spend $60 on the valve covers and $20 on some steel/rubber reusable gaskets. The passenger side went on easy, but the drives was a different story. I had to dent in the fire wall just a little in order for it to fit the taller gasket and covers. They are baffled and came with bolts and washers. I also routed my spark plug wires under the headers and behind the covers. Made it look really clean. Only one on each side I want able to move. I'm sure I could if took the time to switch wire lengths. But other then that I'm pleased. What do you think?

I've got a mark viii fan to put on, just haven't got the wiring done yet.

i bought a set of moroso "under header wires" from summit. made for a very clean look i think.

thanks lmc truck replacement shroud. fit perfect. has 2 sets mounting holes 6 cyl and v8. i placed it based in where the fan was.

A word of caution on plug wire routing: it's better to use separators instead of zip ties and be especially careful of the #5 an 7 wires running parellel. Because of the firing order they can crossfire.

thanks for the advice, I plan on getting some better wire separators once I can save up some money. I have read and talked with a number of guys who used the same method of separating wires with zip tie in between and have had no issues. But I sure appreciate the heads up.

#3 wire is actually pretty far from the header, it is more of an optical illusion, I think. LOL I will have to double check but I am sure it was when I took the picture. Thanks for looking out. Sometimes I miss stuff when I get excited, tired, or just simply open the hood.

X2, Be careful with your wires being under the headers.....that's where they came out with ARCHology. LOL!!! HAHA! I'm running a 6 banger so my wires are a mile away from the headers...Diggin the valve covers! Mine will be similar on my 6.

TJ'S chevy, thanks for the advice. I do recommend this style of valve covers. I would encourage you to make sure you have enough clearance all around the valve cover. They are a lot taller then normal covers, especially on the back side against the fire wall.
