Leaking from rear
I just picked up a 1965 Chevy c10. Been driving it for 40-60 miles and it seems to run fine. Last couple of stops I noticed a small leak directly under the pumpkin. The last 2 times it was progressively worse. Looked up under there and it seems like it is dripping from the center of the axle. I'm wondering do you think it might just be the cover leaking or do the seals leak like that also? It's almost a milky brown fluid.

Re: Leaking from rear
It could be leaking from the cover or the pinion seal. The color is what most of the 50 year old oil looks like when I service one. Your going to need to get it up and take a good look. My bet is pinion seal.
