shift linkage bushing

1964 chevy c10, 283 3 speed colum shift. shifter is very sloppy with lots of play.
grommets or bushings at lower end of linkage is worn colmpletely out where it connects to shift control arms. Where can i purchase new bushings.

Can you show more pics of the trans I'm trying to match a 3 speed I just picked up to see if mine is correct

I used oil impregnated bronze bushings from the hardware store. Measure the ID and OD and you should be able to find something that matches at Ace or Lowes. Better shifter feel too since they're solid.

Did you use a washer on each side of the bronze sleeve? The ones I just knocked out while removing the rods were metal and rusted to heck, not plastic maybe originals...

you can get small bronze bushings with a face on one side.

They looked like this, flange on one side.
