Re: Aussie built 1980 c10
Its a matter of personal preference, but I liked the oval much better. That look out of proportion.

Re: Aussie built 1980 c10
Nice job on the cross member and exhaust system. You may need ear protection just to drive it.
![]() I also like the shifter base that moves with the seat. Very clever! Wish I had some of your metal fab skills.

Re: Aussie built 1980 c10
the purpose of this mod isnt for looks so much, iv been doing some research and its to speed up the air a little bit more into the carb as well as suck in the fresh cool air from the outside. just trying to grab that little bit extra free horspower! i know it looks out of proportion with no front end on but once i have the hood on it will look better.

Re: Aussie built 1980 c10
i just dropped my old lines off to my local parts store and they made me up a set in braded line for me on the spot. im not sure what brand line and fittings they used but turned out pretty good.

Re: Aussie built 1980 c10
My attempt at the A/C delete:
The A/C condenser housing in its original (and ugly!) form ![]() ![]() Cut off the excess ![]() joined it to make it one piece and smoothed it off ![]() ![]() ![]() fibreglassed in a sheet of ply ![]() ![]() ![]() cut the excess fibreglass and sprayed some filler over it ready for sanding ![]() much more room! ![]() Last edited by Bainsy; 04-29-2015 at 04:32 AM. |
