Is it to rough to be saved, not an easy truck to find, sad to scrap it.

Re: 1960 GMC K1000 4x4

Im moving and cant take it with. After everything ive done to the truck with the body drop and such i don't feel right reselling it i didn't much care if i died in a blaze of glory in it but i would rather not have my work putting someone else life at risk i was young and learning and did some crazy stuff in the name of looking cool lol I've striped everything I wanted off of it as of now other then some sheet metal the glass is the last thing of value.

Looks great Kro!

Where did you get the intake from? My son has been talking about doing his a bit different, and would probably like that set up.

Re: 1960 GMC K1000 4x4

743 Spectre Cold Air Intake. I got it from summit they had the same pricing, but had the item ready to ship. I got next day shipping for $25. its basically a box of sold separately Spectre intake parts to create this intake. You need a second mounting kit aside from the one you get. The nice one is 20 bucks, checker has a cheaper one it does the job. The tube is a Spectre 4-inch intake hose.

Intake video.

Here is two 4 inch hoses from summit, jegs sells a single.

Good to see you back on the boards!
Are you planning on driving it on the street with that exhaust set up?
Unless you have moved to Podunkville, Johnny Law is going to have a heyday with you.

Re: 1960 GMC K1000 4x4

i'm not planning on just straight headers. Hoping to dampen the sound by making some mufflers that slid into the 3.5 inch sleeve at the top of the header its 6.5 inch deep. I'm still going to have issues. I only use the truck to take to parties, car shows ect. Wanting to play around at a drag strip a little as well.
