while the oil pans off.....

Have to put a new oil pan on so why I have it ripped off is there anything else I should do?
Ordered a new oil pump.
Stock 327 as far as I know it has never been rebuilt. I have had it 10 years.

I would do the timing chain and take a good look to see if the freeze plugs are rotting out in the block too.

roll in a set of rods and mains.....rear main seal and i would seriously consider pulling the front cover and do a new timing chain (unless it has a roller type chain in it)

Rod bearings. Main bearings. Rear main seal. Front timing cover seal and balancer sleeve. Timing chain and gears. Oil pan gasket with the bolt pressure spreaders. Drill and tap crank snout for balancer retention bolt and washer (probably have to pull radiator for this job). Oil pump and R&R pickup and screen. Its all doable from underneath. This much work, you best validate the motor is worth it with a compression test, wet and dry. If both are good, tear into it. If not, time for rings and/or valves so do the entire motor.

Lol just rebuild the engine huh. It runs good. Blows a little blue smoke when I fire it up. My dad was saying we should change the bearings while the pans off. Have to put a new radiator in to because I noticed the cardboard has antifreeze on it so looks like it has a small leak.

About the best plan I have heard yet. All these years I have owned it has never been down for more then a day. Now it's been like 5 months.....miss that exhaust sound.
