230 Rochester Carb Question
So I ended up getting a NOS Rochester 230 Auto Choke Carb with the tag recently on ebay. According to the number on the tag it is for a 1964 230 passenger car. I'm now debating if I should use it. Were the auto choke carbs of that era reliable? The way the throttle and choke move seems funky but I'm sure vacuum has to do with it. I'm thinking after that many years even though it's NOS I'm going to have to rebuild it anyway.
Any thoughts on this carb? |

Re: 230 Rochester Carb Question
Don't hold me to this, but I believe the passenger car jets were a different size than the jets on the pick-up. My truck has a manual choke, so can't give any feedback on auto choke.
