Re: 49 rear bumper filler

Do you mean a roll pan between the bed sides or the closure piece between the bumper and rear sill?

Re: 49 rear bumper filler

Here's a couple pictures of what we came up with on my 53. Used a front bumper, which allowed the use of a front bumper valance as a starting point for the filler piece.

Re: 49 rear bumper filler

I saw this out in the cheap seats at the Inland Emperors East/West Flathead run in 2013.

Sweet little AD that works for it's keep.

Some like the filler panel and some don't but it does a lot to fill in that space and hide what is behind the bumper.

If it is done to hide something, that's the way it looks.

Re: 49 rear bumper filler

Isn't that just a rear splash apron that also comes with the rounded pieces that mount in front of the rear fenders? The set up on the light blue truck looks just like what I have on my '50.

that looks good. you raised your bumper. the one on the blue truck makes it look thick from top to bottom. yours looks better to me. im going to work on something in between . maybe modify the after market one

Re: 49 rear bumper filler

Torchlight - what did you use for rear brackets?

I have a 54-55 bumper - planning on using it on my 49 & want to raise it
