What wheels are the C20 guys running?
Ive got later style 8 lug rims on my 65 C20 and they need painted and hubcaps possibly. What are you all running? Ive been thinking about painting them black but dont really have any hubcaps to use. they are the later 16" nub rims. Or what newer wheels will fit on it? Ive thought about switching them out to the early 2000s 8lug rim but not sure what thatd take. any help would be great.

I bought some 22" rims with 305/45's on them off CL for $300 bucks. Not sure what your looking for, but these came off a 2006 duramax diesel.

Did you have to get an adapter for them or anything to fit?

No, bolted right up. Front end is stock. I did a rear axle swap using an axle out of a 97 C3500 SRW. The rear axle is only 5/8" wider wms to wms. That being said, they would have bolted up to the rear stock axle.

I have later model steelies with the nubs, painted white with 225/70-16 black wall tires. Rear is bags on Schrader valves, front is 2 inch CPP lowering springs. Not the best pic, but you can see it OK. Last edited by earl84; 03-18-2015 at 11:47 AM. |

Like 1980s...3/4 1 ton wheels work also.

Front on mine was torsion bars, I backed them off and dropped the front end a good couple inches. I set a couple jack stands under the rear of the frame and then heated the rear coils with the rosebud tip on the torch. Dropped the rear a good couple inches until they hit the jack stands. |

Found some stock 16" rims from an 07 2500. Back spacing is 5" and bolt pattern is 8x6.5 will they work?

Re: What wheels are the C20 guys running?
I was thinking the same thing. I'm normally a fan of much more traditional wheel and tire sizes, but that does look sweet.

This is what it looked like before the new wheels and tires. |
