What to buy

I have decided to bite the bullet and buy a new intake manifold to replace the stock iron one that leaks around the water neck, I am getting together with a friend over here that has a number of American cars to place an order with Summit to share some of the costs (they charge a $23 handling charge on all overseas orders) and the £/$ exchange rate at the moment is too good to miss.

I am intending to buy an Edelbrock Performer EPS Manifold, a set of ARP manifold bolts and carb studs, and felpro gaskets for manifold and carb.

I have a Carter AFB carb and it's in a 67 with a 1969 350 in it. Firstly is there going to be anything else I need to buy to complete the swap, will the carb linkage etc bolt right up?

Secondly, how do I know which manifold gasket to buy, there seems to be lots of different ones depending on the port sizes and I have no idea what these are.

Finally, which carb gasket do I need, there was one with a big square hole and one with four round ones which do I need?

Any further advice welcomed, bit of a novice at US engines!

Edelbrock

There is really good info at Edelbrocks site under the tech section. <-- This link is close to what I think you are getting, click on Installation Instructions and it lists parts that you need.

I also have heard the guys at Summit can help answer some of these questions.

I just did mine Cam/Carb/Intake last year and could not have done it without the guys at my local speed shop.

Edit: ... cuz I'm really a newbie to all engine stuff!

Hope this helps.
