Nice 72 LS-Swapped K10 - WIW?

Wondering what my truck is worth - I may have to sell it (not my choice). It's a '72 original short/fleet, with a '70 cab and interior, and LS-swapped. You don't even want to know how much I put into this thing. Any honest appraisals would be appreciated!

-Factory tach
-Factory AC cab (AC's not hooked up).
-Zero rust anywhere, including the normal problem spots.
-2002 LM7 LS-series engine with under 100k miles that runs strong and smooth; new alternator, water pump and exhaust manifolds
-New Griffin US-made aluminum radiator and electric fans
-New 4L60e transmission with 7k miles
-New dual exhaust with Magnaflows
-All gauges (including tach) except ammeter work with the swap
-New 2.5" Tuff Country EZ Ride all-spring lift kit, new shocks
-33" BFG's with 7k miles, includes matching spare, speedo GPS calibrated
-Dana 44 front axle has been completely overhauled; 4x4 works awesome!
-New brake pads and hoses, new wheel bearings
-New steering components as needed including RedHead steering box
-Rebuilt NP205 transfer case
-New rear 3" tube driveshaft
-Repainted in classic orange/white two-tone
-Newer bed wood, not pristine but still absolutely solid and very pretty
-Cab interior has been covered in sound-deadening mat
-New carpet, new houndstooth upholstery
-Dash is uncut, new Vintage Audio radio/MP3 player, new kickpanel speakers, new dash speaker, new Retrosound under-seat woofer
-US-made Softopper; full bed coverage, fold up the sides, fold it down, remove it completely, all easy one-person jobs
-Headlight relay mod done, with Sylvania Silverstars installed
-Lots more I can't even think of...

Everything works great! Driven this thing to California and back with no problems, drives wonderfully, will cruise at 75mph no problem, 17-20mpg all the time. Great off-road as well, not a crawler but will go anywhere I want to in a vehicle. It's exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately, maybe not exactly what my wife wanted. Hence this exploratory post... thanks in advance!

I'm a little hesitant to chime in but suspect a little double checking with yourself/significant other/wife??? None of my business, just trying to base my opinion. I would think a minimum of 20k if not up to 25k. Obviously the people that are into stock are not interested, some ls swappers would think they could do it for less for themselves, but the second you start to hire these things out your costs skyrocket. As you stated you have a lot in it already, but a person usually doesn't make money at these projects. I hope this helps as a starting point, good luck, Brian F.

Oh, that double-checking process has been/is still in progress, believe me. I am not happy about the prospect of selling this truck, but as we all know, sometimes events conspire... it's a long story.

Yep, stockers won't like it. Would-be swappers will learn very quickly how much money one can sink into these projects! I fully would expect to lose out on the deal - it's just how badly?

W.I.W. is relative. I would say it's worth 40K. I have over that in my 67 Chevelle with a LS-2 (crate motor) and a 6 speed.
Now getting 40K is a whole nother matter. I also think it should bring around 25K but we'll see.
There was one real similar here in Phoenix earlier this year and they were asking 19K.
We always dump a ton of money in these projects and usually when they sell it's at a bad time and get sold cheap. Bad for the seller, good for the buyer. We have all said "it's cheaper to buy these done" but never take our own advice.
Good luck and do what you have to do. Sometimes we just have to chalk it up to a learning curve and move on. "Hopefully wiser".
