Motor mount dilemma need help

Looking for help on motor mounts I know this has been discussed over and over but I have dd plates but I am looking for what engine mounts I need to have, to ac mounted in factorty position and keep the motor in the factory location

im guessing Dirty dingo sliders. me personally, I prefer the ac, to be mounted, up high, using an aftermarket bracket, for ease of service.

I don't think that I possible without notching the frame. I may be wrong though. What year truck is it going into. I used ict billet 551628 for my swap. They are billet aluminum, multi position and only $50. They also make swap brackets for the a/c. I think their prices are decent compared to others that I have seen.

If you can weld, put the motor where you want it. That's what I ended up doing with mine, because I wanted to keep the low mount a/c, but i refuse to cut my frame!

I used the factory rubber type mount with a Alan Grove low mount a/c bracket. It fits but you need to use a sanden type compessor. I think the poly type mounts are a little more compact and would provide more clearance. This was on a 70 GMC.

Jamie, what did you use for those frame mounts? Are they factory pieces?

I used Early Classic Enterprises (ECE) LS conversion mounts and used the stock ac in the stock location. Not one issue a little pricey but when I test fit it it went in so smooth I didn't even have to take it back out. Of course this if for a C10

I made a new perch (the flat part with brace that bolts to the crossmember) and I used modified factory 2004 yukon/tahoe mounts.

I installed them on the engine and marked to cut them horizontal with the floor: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...9&postcount=60

Then I just installed the cut mounts on the engine, set it on the new perches, adjusted the driveline angle, centered the engine, and tack welded the mounts to the perches. Once that was done I unbolted the whole kit and finished welding everything up.

I could even elongate the bolt holes in the new perches and give myself about 1-2" of front to back adjustment if needed...
