Midway through the video is a good idea of how it was done....

You might want to fill out your profile, tell us what vehicle you're talking about and maybe include some pictures of what you're working with....

I am pretty new to the forum and I am still trying to figure it out. I bought the gauges off of ebay and I have a 1969 Blazer. Thanks for the help.

Re: Intellitronix Gauges Install

So no instructions? I would email Intellitronix and see if they can send you some...

The gauges came with instructions but I am still having issues. I will see if I can find Johnnyfever's instructions. Thanks Gents

Re: Intellitronix Gauges Install

The speedo wire hooks up to the supplied VSS in the gauge kit.

so i have to replace the stock sensor? the intrusctions said if vehicle already has a speed sensor to hook up to the vss wire. from all the wiring diagrams i have found online it would seem to be either the dark blue or brown wire from the speed sensor to the ecm

Re: Intellitronix Gauges Install

My instructions don't say anything about an existing vss. Mine says disconnect the mechanical speedo cable and install the supplied vss. Instructions say to wire it to the white wire on the vss.

this iS what mine say

For vehicles which have a vehicle speed
signal from a transmission sensor or ECM, tap into the VSS wire (Consult a
vehicle service manual or wiring diagram to determine correct wire color) and
connect it to the WHITE speed sending wire from the digital dash.
If your car is equipped with an electronic transmission then there will be an
electronic vehicle sender with either 2 or 3 wires coming off of it.

Re: Intellitronix Gauges Install

There seems to be a lot of variations in the instructions because the colors my instructions said didn't match to the panel exactly. My manual for a 94 shows the wires going to the vss should be red/black and dark blue/white out of the ecm. They are out of ports f2 and f3 on the ecm. One should be vss power and the other would be the signal. Test to see which one has switched power and then tap into the other one. It's hard without knowing exactly how your wiring is

on the red side plug or blue side of the ecm?

Re: Intellitronix Gauges Install

It doesn't say what plug. Every wire is labeled with a letter and number on the plug itself
