84/89 build
Hey guys, been on the site for a while and figured I may as well start my build post, it's gonna be kind if slow and I'll put up as many pics as I can! So to start out, last thanksgiving I picked up an 84 jimmy automatic 6.2 diesel, 6" lift 35s, guy said it didn't run and he didn't know why so I got it home a starter and some glow plugs later she was running great! The whole truck had been rhino lined and I was assures there was only rust in the front inner fenders, well I started peeling off the liner to find there's more holes than metal on this truck :/ so I went back and forth between fixing it and just taking the drivetrain and scrapping it till I came across an 89 jimmy with a near perfect body had an older lt1 sitting in the engine bay, not hooked up, not even bolted down, so I snagged it for 650$ and that's where I am now. I've decided to swap the diesel and lift springs into the 89. On to some picks! This is the 84 when I got it home

Re: 84/89 build
But it's got the good diesel I wanted, so I searched till I found this 89 a few hours away so me and a buddy loaded up and brought it home!

Re: 84/89 build
And this is basically where I am now I've started to get the 89 ready for the transplant! Instead of trying to retrofit the fader harness for the diesel I decided to pull the whole wiring harness and gauge cluster and swap the diesel gauges and harness in. I've got the gauges and harness pulled and swapped the hydroboost master cylinder in and that's where I am as of last weekend! By the way of anyone needs parts everything I pull off is for sale I got the complete harness(unplugged not cut) gauges and an lt1 with computer and harness, but anyway here's the 89 as of last Saturday

According to the previous owner this is a 92 corvette lt1 I've still gotta run the numbers to make sure but it seems to be all ther and he said it ran when they pulled it

Re: 84/89 build
I did a few things to the 84 befor I realized how bad it was, I got some new front fenders and door and put some diy4x extended shackles on front and some 36 swampers I got on cl! This is gonna be a relatively slow build due to my 8 month old son and our new house that I'm building a porch for and the garage I'm trying to finish
