Need up to date info on P/S bracket and systems for 230 L6

Hey guys, sorry to do this, but I've been reading old threads for two days now and I have yet to find a cost effective way to put power steering on my 64 230 L6 motor. I can't afford the kits that ecklers or brothers has, and I honestly haven't seen any of the cars with the same motors that might have the option in them I could transplant.
I even thought what about parts stores having the car parts for said cars, and no dice.
Please help!? I'm finishing up wiring and wanna do the power steering so I can have this pretty girl as a daily driver when I'm not on the bike. Thanks a million! In advance

You may want to look at the Alan Grove Components, Inc. website.

I dealt with the same issue on my 1965 equipped with a 292. I ended up using brackets from Davis Speed Equipment (available on ebay), and power steering components from a 1971 C10 (matched the parts I used for the disc brake swap). Overall, the hardest part for me was getting the pulleys aligned for all of the accessories (running A/C) as well. Fortunately I was able to use a dual groove short v8 water pump pulley and dual belt power steering pump pulley to make it work. In general, the Davis Speed kit has a lot of adjustability to get things aligned.

The eBay seller you are referring to I can not find. If you have a link to the seller or even one of their items that would be great.

You might try to contact Armstrong Power Steering, but I don't know if they are still in business.

Re: Need up to date info on P/S bracket and systems for 230 L6

Here is a link to a current auction for a power steering bracket for the 230. This isn't the exact kit I used since I am running a 292 but I was impressed by their products, the hardware, and included instructions.

I am having problems posting a link so copy the following address into a new browser window.

Subscribed... I need some info on the PS brackets for a 66 with a 250 6 cyl. From the little bit of reading I have done, I think they are the the same as the 230.

Heard they are still around in the salvage yards if you get luck enough to find them.
