1970 front brake drums

I recall seeing a few people asking about front brake drums on a 1970 chevy.

I know a guy that has these and a nice 70 aswell. he has posted them for sale here

I wonder if he knows you can go to auto zone and get the drums for 26 bucks?

Best way to learn about these trucks is to assume something is rare, WAY over-spend on a replacement or buy used ones when you could have bought new, and then realize your mistake later on...

Yeah anyone needing drums check with your local parts distributor first. NAPA is usually where I go...

rare if they are the 3/4 ton 4wd variety.

1986 K5, 350/465/208 Dana 60/14 bolt from a cucv 36" Super Swampers TSL/SX
1983 K20 w/ CUCV axles, 350/700R4/208 sitting on 37" Goodyears
1986 M1031 6.2 diesel, TH400/NP205 locker in the rear and a LS in the front, all stock for now.....
1986 K30, 350/400/205 dana 60 and 14 bolt. I kept the drivetrain. Body/bad and chassis are gone.
1981 K30, 350/465/205 dana 60 and dually 14 bolt. Has a G80, and a flat bed. Going to replace the flat bed.

1985 K20, 350/400/208 10 bolt and SF 14 bolt. I wonder where I can find some 1 tons. Hmmmmm

I believe the 1970 1/2 ton 4wd ones are the same as the earlier years. It's the 1970 3/4 ton ones that are basically a one year run only, different from the 69 and earlier and 71s had disc.

okay

hey i had read about someone needing 1970 drums and that they were hard to find, it must have been for a 3/4 ton 4x4, because i was looking into buying a 69 3/4 ton 4x4 from this same guy that has the drums for the 70. my mistake, just trying to help.
by the way thats $25 canadian so thats only about $2 US

anyways
