Keys... Panels and suburbans

Sorry for posting this here but it doesn't seem like the Panel and Suburban section doesn't gets much traffic.

I have my door panel off and after reading in the FAQ's section about having keys made I would like to get one made for my door. Assuming my truck hasn't been molested is the rear barn door handle keyed the same as the drivers door? Logic would tell me they would be but you never know. Or do I need to take that handle out as well and take it to a locksmith to have a key for that made also?

On my panel, both front doors, the rear door, the ignition and the gas cap, all take the same key.

On my all-orig 65 Sub, one key fits both side doors, the rear gate, and the ignition.

On my 64 I had a number on my original ignition key that my keyman was able to decode and make a new key. That worked out great so I pulled the door panel and took out the lock cyl. The lock cyl had a number which my keyman decoded and the key he made for that also worked for the glove box. Maybe check the glove box lock and ignition cylinders for any numbers too.

There is a number on the locks themselves that a key can be made from. just had it done on my burb.

Well I probably posted too soon because after I tore everything apart and lubed it my key actually worked in the drivers door and rear door. So I don't need to have a key made. Guess the good news is I now know the code # if I were to ever need it later.

Found some really nice lock lube called " Houdini" won't gum up or freeze, awesome stuff but not cheap. It will even free up a frozen lock.
