Exceptional original-paint engines

Seems like the engines on our trucks really suffer, cosmetically, over the years. So I'd like to see any 60-66s that still have very nice, original, factory paint on their born-with engines. I'm talking about blue or blue-green sixes, charcoal-grey 283s and blue-green 327s. Anyone have an exceptionally nice, original paint engine?

I'll kick it off with my '66 327.

Nice,
Did they only put the 327 in C-20 in 1966?
I ask because I've got a '66 K-10 without a engine and it came with a V-8

In 66 the 327 was available from C10 up.

Re: Exceptional original-paint engines

My '65 Suburban 283 with 46K faired better than my '66 C-10 250 with only 8K. I'm thinking a single overzealous cleaning effort on the C-10 may have made the difference.
Here's the Sub. file photo. Coffee cup is not factory.

I wouldn't say it's exactly "exceptionally nice," but it is still in there doing its job.

Re: Exceptional original-paint engines

My 66 230 or 250 has just a few traces of paint left that appear to be gray. Any chance that is an original color?

Thats a beautiful 327!!

Love the york compressor on there. Was it for a dealer added a/c unit?

On mine? Yep, aftermarket A/C.

The usual suspect strikes again! Thanks OEM.

Way cool! I would love to get one on my truck. Best way to have an on-board air compressor. Hope to add my motor to this thread once I get it cleaned up.
