Today this was happening in England.

Any guess at what was being created?

Yes, I am excited.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III

I swapped out my dist today. I bought the Mallory a while back and it had a faulty module. Of course Mallory didn't care so I bought Summits kit with new coil and module. I finally put it in today. I am wondering how the truck was running with this cap. I have a feeling I was going to have total failure soon. I drove to LA and back with that Dist, 900 miles total. I also cleaned the front of the carb. It was filthy.

Haha! Thanks, but it's a 30 footer that needs a lot of body work. Solid drive train and suspension - all completely redone. Ready to drive. I had to put it together and reward myself. It's been 4 years and I have not driven it EVER! Except for a quickie up and down the street. Tags and plates go on next week. Then I will keep driving it as a work in progress/daily driver.

Wow 4 years, that's good to hear that it's almost ready to hit the road! I like the work in progress daily driver! That's exactly what mine is.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III

Put a new right taillight housing on, cut out an old trailer wiring harness that looked like a four year old did it and hooked the taillights back up (still no brake lights though, left signal works but if you turn the right one on, both blink), found out I didn't have the clutch head bits I needed to replace the dimmer switch and/or get the steering wheel off to fix the turn signal, and identified a depressing amount of cab mount rust.

Turtleman if my wife saw your reply, you would be banned..... I love John Deere, she hates it in principle.

When I mentioned once I really wanted to order a John Deere overall for my garage use, she said No Way. So I now wear red or blue...... It saddens me

Johnny, you were right. Sparks.

The flanges for making up my exhaust system were being lazier cut, stainless and mild steel for various parts of it.

That will preserve the wood well but . . . . . . .
Anything that goes in the bed will leave with an oil stain. Can't sit down in the bed for a ride, shoes will pick up the oil, etc. Fine for hauling trash and such. One thing's for sure . . . no termites!
