Re: No Limit Pro-10 chassis build

Any more info on these Rob? I know that you have sold quite a few of them, do you have any ride height pictures, statistics of one of these on a road/autocross course, or any builds that you could point us to?

Re: No Limit Pro-10 chassis build

I'll try to get some more picts up soon. The 'Stock' spec rail delivers a 4"/6" drop compared to a stock truck. The front R.H. adjustment is +/- 1", rear R.H. is adjustable from +1" (raised) to -2" (total of 8" drop) - although we do NOT 'c' notch the chassis, so this has limited suspension travel.

The "Raised Rail" chassis deliver a 6"/8" drop from a stock truck. Again, the front R.H. is adjustable +/- 1", the rear range is +1"/-2 1/2".

Drop spindles are available to any chassis.

Raised Rail chassis require the bed floor to be raised 5" from stock, and the trans tunnel must be raised appx 1 1/2".

For Air Ride aplications, we use a RideTech Shockwave in the IFS for a +/- 3 1/2" range, and your choice of a Shockwave (+/- 2 1/2") or bag/shock (+/- 4").

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Re: No Limit Pro-10 chassis build

Here's some chassis picts. We are now up to speed on '63-'66, and '67-'72 chassis, and finishing up new rail sections for '73-'87's.

The frames are built it three configurations as far as ride height, and sheet metal mods.

1) OE Rail Height. This is a chassis built to net appx a 4" ft and 6" rr drop from stock. (in coil over form) It uses all OE body mounting points and no metal mods are needed.

2) Raised Rear / OE Front. This is the middle ground. The rear rails are raised for additional clearance, and the bed floor must be raised 5". No mods to the firewall or tunnel. The front is dropped with a spindle. Net ride height is appx 6" drop front, 8" drop rear.

3) Raised rail Front and Rear. The Canyon Carver. Same rear rails as above, front rail sections are also raised 2". This chassis also uses drop spindles. Bed floor must be raised 5", Inner fenders trimmed, and trans tunnel raised 2". Net ride height is 8" drop front, 10" drop rear.

* Coil Overs are adjustable but we would like to stay close to the sweet spot. So, you can plan on +/- .750" from static ride height.

** Yes, Air Ride is available.
In front, we change the coil over to a ShockWave. From static ride height you can lift or drop appx 3 1/2".
In the rear, you have a choice of ShockWave or Bag/Shock. ShockWaves will handle better, but with more limited travel, usually 2 1/2"" up or down from static ride height. Bag/Shock will have more travel, appx 4" up or down from static.

*** no, we will not build it to drag on the ground. Yes that may be cool, but no, so don't ask. All of our chassis are designed to keep a minimum scrub line for safety, even if the air fails. Besides, there are plenty of other guys that specialize in that.

Re: No Limit Pro-10 chassis build

Rob, that looks really good and a nice variety of ride heights should provide for the majority of builders.

I really appreciate how you interact with the good folks here and answer so many questions.

Re: No Limit Pro-10 chassis build

Rob,
I have a few questions. Can you build the chassis so I can use my stock 12 bolt? It is all new including gears and posi so I don't really wanna spend the money on a 9 inch that I do not need. Unless the axle housing you use is narrower than stock.

Also the center section on the website is different and the site says the floor only needs to be raised 4 inches? Which one is correct?

Finally the third option says truck will have a 8/10 drop. That is what I am looking for, so how high does that leave the frame rails from the ground?

So one last question. Does using the drop spindle affect the geometry in anyway? Is it better to not run the drop spindles? As far as handling goes?
Thanks

Re: No Limit Pro-10 chassis build

We can build a chassis to use your rear axle, - these are all FatBar 4-bar suspensions. We can A) - send you the brackets to weld on, or, B) - you send us the rear housing and we will weld all the brackets on in our fixture.

For a chassis with an 8/10 drop the bed floor must be raised, also, there will be some work to do raising the tunnel in the cab floor, appx 2". An 8/10 drop will set the rails at around 6" off of the ground, depending on tire size. Drop spindles do not negatively effect handling, as long as they were part of the plan from the beginning.
