Getting so close I can !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went to pick up my engine today at the machine shop. Once I was there, the guy that I deal with at the shop talked me into letting him put the short block together. Gave me a hell of a deal to assemble it. So I told him to go ahead. So I left with out my 383. It will be ready either tomorrow or Wednesday. I waited a long time for this. But there is still alot of work to do. I plan on pulling the engine out, and sand blasting the engine compartment, then repainting it before I drop the 383 in it. But I am excited that I am this close to having the 305 out of this truck, and put a power plant in it that it deserves!!!
CAN NOT WAIT!!!!!!!!

305 V8. This engine has no back bone what so ever. When I bought this truck three years ago, I ask the guy what engine was in the truck. He said I "think it is a 350" Well, it didn't run like a 350 when I drove it, so I was thinking well there is something wrong with it, so I jewed him down on the price, by useing the excuse that it did not run right. Well, I spent about a week on trying to make it run like a 350 4 barrel. Had no luck. Then checked out the numbers through Mortec web site. It turns out to be a 86 305 V8. Right then and there I made the decision to build me a 383 that puts out around 450 HP. It took me this long to gather up the funds for it. Now I am ready to ROCK!
