Front suspension member
I'm currently rebuilding the front end on my 71 and noticed the bottom lip on the front suspension member looks like the prior owner hit something and the lip is bent.
Is there a difference between the years? Is one year better than the other? Thanks |

Re: Front suspension member
There are minor variations between the year models but the crossmembers are interchangeable.

Re: Front suspension member
Can you elaborate? My truck is a 71, should I get only a 71 front member to make sure I do not need to do any mods?
Thanks!!!! |

Re: Front suspension member
Brake line tabs varied through the years. If you wan't a direct plug & play set-up, stick w/a 71-72 x-member. If the brake lines have changed & don't use the OE tabs, other year x-members can be used.
