OEM Steel Wheel Confusion

So...I know what I want as far as wheels and tires, 6" OEM and 225/75-15's. To keep the drop explanation simple, I'll be using Yezzi's SBS Formula with either McGaughy or Western Chassis spindles. I want the option to run dog dish or full wheel covers. All the stock wheels I seem to find on CL around here lack the nubs for dog dish caps (listed as stock 1985) and the wheels I found at the last swap meet that did have the nubs had 3.75" backspacing. I keep reading about clearance problems with any 15" wheels over 3.5" BS (including rallys), but then Yezzi's wide wheel formula specifies 4" for the front adding to my confusion. iF 3.75" BS lacks clearance...how in the world do 4" BS wheels fit?

So what backspacing works with minimal grinding and what year wheels am I looking for? I'm new to all this drop stuff and want to get it right the first time.
