High pressure fuel tank selector valve
I was going through the part list from Glock's project Fred and couldn't find the fuel tank selector valve on JC Whitney's website, so I don't think it is available anymore.
After doing some more searching, was able to find what I think is he valve on the makers website. I did not request a price from them. The Pollak part number for the valve and connector is 42-302 and can be seen in the link below. http://products.pollakaftermarket.co...r-driven-valve I was able to find one for 50 dollars, but it might be a knock off. http://www.partdeal.com/pollak-fuel-...FZaRHwodmCUNNw Has anyone else ordered the above valve or can share the part number of the valve they ordered? Thanks, |

Re: High pressure fuel tank selector valve
I've looked into this as well. What I've discovered through others, is that the GM installed valve on 87'-91' TBI Squarebodies is identical to the Pollak valve. One of the shop owners near me who specializes in LS swaps for 73-87 C10s has been running a factory replacement valve in his 87' with his 6.0L/4L80E swap for over a year with no problems. I believe he used an ACDelco branded replacement. If I recall, he stated it was stamped Pollak when he opened the box.
ACDelco U7000 is the part number for the 3 port valve. As we know from Glock's thread, the 3 port is really just a 6 port with caps on the return nipples. I'd buy that and yank em' off and run with it. If you feel the need to, the "genuine" 6 port is ACDelco U7001. Last edited by foamypirate; 11-30-2015 at 03:25 PM. |

Re: High pressure fuel tank selector valve
Thanks for the info! Do you happen to have a part number for the connector?

Re: High pressure fuel tank selector valve
Cool, good work! I was trying to find the PN for it, but I kept finding stuff that was around $45 for the pigtail, which just didn't seem right.

Re: High pressure fuel tank selector valve
Just thought I would throw some info in here for the next guy looking for the proper fuel selector valve. I my self have been looking for a selector valve to handle the higher pressure of fuel injection. After finding this thread and reading and doing a little research of my own this is what I found. I'm the type of person that wants to see it in black and white from the manufacture of the maximum allowable fuel pressure. For the Pollack valve part number Bulk-42-159 it was stated 65psi. Here is a link to where I found the information.
http://products.pollakaftermarket.co...S_41-revdd.pdf For the A/C Delco U7001 valve I was able to find the information right from Auto Zone's web site by looking up the part number. http://www.autozone.com/fuel-deliver...?checkfit=true Hope this information helps the next person looking for it. |

Re: High pressure fuel tank selector valve
Anyone order and use these parts for their LS swap? Looking into this myself and there is limited information. Also, as this is a plastic housing, how are you all making the transition from tank to selector valve, and from selector valve to fuel rail? I'm a little skeptical of using a clamp on connector with a high pressure system. I have visions of fuel spraying all over the exhaust when a hose blows off of the valve.

Re: High pressure fuel tank selector valve
I think if you use the correct hose and keep it short with the full circle clamps there should not be an issue with them coming off
