Cowl removal
I want to take the cowl off to check the fresh air door while I have the ac out. Can it be removed with the fenders on? I see a bolt on either side and some small Phillips head screws. I also realize the wiper arms will have to come off. It looks pretty straight forward is there anything I'm missing or not seeing?
I figure it is the right thing to do since the door and it's sealing gasket are 45 years old. Thanks Keith

Re: Cowl removal
Pretty straight forward. Fenders can stay on.

Re: Cowl removal
Two bolts on each side of the truck. Then the wipers and the front P/H screws anntenia if you have one. Prett simple. Be carefull lifting it off the truck don't scratch it. Best to have someone helping you.

Re: Cowl removal
Like mentioned pretty straight forward but it helps to have 2 people as they tend to want to scratch the A Pillar when comming off.

Re: Cowl removal
Pulling the wipers without scratching the cowl can sometimes be tricky. A wiper puller (purchased or homemade) is essential.
