Original 71-72 gas cap opinion

Does anyone know for sure if the original SS gas cap had the words pressure vacuum stamped on the cap or not. My guess is the cap was without the stamping.

The cap on my 1/2t 72 GMC is original and does not have the stamping.

Re: Original 71-72 gas cap opinion

Thx buddy, I was thinking it was but there's been some discussion about it largely due to some folks placing the stamped lettering gas cap in a AC Delco box.

You bet. Maybe others will chime in but I believe plain no stamping was how they left GM.
