1962 ball joint durability

I have a 62 shortbed stepside that I plan on bagging. I know the ball joints are different than those of the later year first gens. My question is are the 62 ball joints durable enough to handle being on air ride? I'm going to lay it on the ground and do not want any issues with either travel or durability. Any response is appreciated, thanks!

Re: 1962 ball joint durability

My 61 has the same as yours and its lowered from torsion bars only. I do plan to bag mine someday, but I was not going to change the joints .
