Need help with 68-72 stepside longbed fender with spare tire cut out
Hey everybody, I posted this on the parts board and have had some good help, but have not come up with what I need just yet. I need a driver's side fender with the cutout for the spare tire for a longbed 68-72 truck. There is a difference between the shortbed and longbed fender - the cutout areas are different. I know this is a hard to find part, so I hope that someone out there has one or knows of someone who has one to sell. I need it in order to finish my 15 year long restoration......I'm so close! The pic below shows the fender that I need. Thanks! Dave

Re: Need help with 68-72 stepside longbed fender with spare tire cut out
Have you considered just taking a non-cutout fender and adding the smaller LWB cup? Since the factory rolled the flange over and welded in a formed cup it would be easy enough.
If it helps here are part numbers I compiled. stepside fenders 67 left wo/spare 3882659 left 115" w/spare ??? left 127" & 133" w/spare ??? right 3881660 68-72 left w/marker wo/spare 3960559 right w/marker 3960560 left w/marker 115" w/spare 3960563 left w/marker 127" & 133" w/spare 3960565 boards 67-72 left 115" 3879177 right 115" 3879178 left 127" 3882559 right 127" 3882600 left 133" ??? can anyone confirm this as 3882601 right 133" 3882602

Tim, thanks for your idea. Lucky for me I found the correct fender in FL and have just had it blasted. I will be fitting it to the truck this weekend.
