New guy here with a 70 C10
I have always been into Novas but I saw a 67 C10 stepside sitting in a field in San jose, the truck was rough but I really liked the lines of it. Found the owner but he would not sell. Anyhow I kept my eye out and finally bought a 70 C10 stepside SWB. Its a driver but needs some love. I found that the cab is too far gone to repair in the roof so I picked up a good rust free cab local to me.
I just sold my 63 Nova to make space for this truck. Anyhow thx for reading my post. Ryan |

welcome to the forum! My first truck was a '67 and it was a rust bucket (learned my lesson that body work was expensive). But like you I fell in love with the lines and the curves. My wife doesnt understand that I can have two loves

Re: New guy here with a 70 C10
Thanks Charlie, I have a lot of work ahead of me with this truck but I am motivated as all hell. I just found out that the motor and trans were not what was advertised though. It was listed as a 350 and th350, I was able to spot that it was a 400 sbc pretty easily before I bought the truck but I just also noticed that the trans is a th400! What an awesome surprise!
