Body Bolt Set?

I am having trouble locating a source for a set of the bolts that hold the tub to the frame. My bushings are OK so I don't want to buy a set I don't need just to get the bolts. Anyone got a source? GMC Pauls sent me the dimensions but he doesn't supply bolt-only sets.

Thanks, I appreciate the lead. I checked their catalog and they do have them in stock.

Re: Body Bolt Set?

I will tell you when I ordered my first complete set. I had to individually order them. Some came in different packages. Which meant they came from different companies I mentioned before. If you can find a local fastnal store or something like that they are actually much cheaper option
Good Luck

Re: Body Bolt Set?

You can pick these up much cheaper through tractor supply or some other source. They are almost all carriage bolts. They are way overpriced if sourced from an online vendor.

Re: Body Bolt Set?

The only one that will be a hassle is the grade 8 9/16. It's hard to find and I haven't even tried to source one. If you do find one for a decent price let me know where.

How long does it need to be? These guys have a lot of hard to find bolts. http://www.wholesalebolts.com/capscr...9/16-12x6.aspx

9/16"-12 x 6" grade 8 hex head cap bolt. I think I will order a couple from the place you listed since everywhere else I looked they were outrageous.

Re: Body Bolt Set?

Just as I thought they are pricey for shipping. $22.50 total for two lousy bolts with shipping.

Re: Body Bolt Set?

I bought a complete body mount set without the bushings - bolts, washers, sleeves, nuts, etc. - for all of the positions from LMC for about $150 shipped. It would have been about $30 more to add the bushings but I don't need them. Filling out that order, position by position, was among the more complicated things I got to do last week since some of the positions use the same nuts and washers, etc. At least LMC has an exploded illustration showing how it all fits together.

Re: Body Bolt Set?

I thought about going that route but I have all the carriage bolts and they were literally $10 from tractor supply. For $20 more I can get the grade 8 bolts so I can't complain too much if it's $150 from LMC. I already have the poly bushings and LMC had never been at the top of my list for parts is another reason why I didn't buy them from there. I may have to source the offset washers from them if I can't find them anywhere else.
