Check my brain math!
I'm replacing a ZZ502 with an LS3 (eRod). It was and will be backed by a TKO-600 five speed with a Hayes clutch.
I've reused the 621 bellhousing, clutch, pressure plate, and throwout bearing. I did this by ordering a GM flywheel (similar to the SACHS unit) that is supposedly 0.400 thicker than a normal LS, which should put the flywheel deck face at the same spot. Sure enough, when I mocked it all up and measured BBC vs LS, the flywheel face was within 2 hundredths of an inch, probably within my measurement error. I also checked to make sure I have a clutch fork angle of about 7-10 degrees. I had no luck trying to do the dead reckoning method where you work out the distance from the flywheel face to the pivot ball. What are the odds, given I confirmed the flywheel face height and fork angle, that this is set up correctly? Or do I have more work and homework to do? Thanks, Dave

Re: Check my brain math!
How much travel do you have far end of the fork, mechanical or Hyd.
Is the Bell housing in the same location or did you move things to the rear?
