deve krehbiel was very active on a maillist server back when maillists were popular
he's more of a purist, i'm surprised he did the drawer  metal drawers seem like they'd be noisy here's my ogre take on drawers in pedestals

And thought I was working wonders just by lifting the seat cushion up and stashing stuff in the space in the riser when I had the stock seat.
Either way the drawers are handy and if you can make the secure would be great for locking up things out of sight that need to be locked up out of sight.

I found his site a while back when looking up seat belt installation. I was going to take a look at a version of the drawer when I get that far.
