Drum/Drum dual master for 62 C20?

Going to finish the brakes on the C20 next week that my buddy picked up. Can we just use the 67 C10 dual pot master on it for the split lines?

yes if it was a drum/drum if not late 60's big gm like bonnieville, catalina, etc. drum/drum m/c work real well and easy to get my parts store has them in stock for less than $25

Re: Drum/Drum dual master for 62 C20?

Yes, that is a correct drum/drum master - however, keep in mind that if you have the funky lookin original 62 mc (as pictured below, with the included slave cyl), there isn't a direct bolt on (i.e as if you were replacing a 63-66 truck's single reservoir mc with a 67's dual res mc). I believe the 62 and later years have different bolt patterns for attaching to the firewall - not 100% certain, but just something to confirm before you leap. If there is no direct bolt on, just might need to drill a hole or two. Probably just 1 though, if any.

No, the C20 he got has the single pot. The C30 has the above clutch/brake master.

Ok, we'll put the order in Monday!

Re: Drum/Drum dual master for 62 C20?

That's a single pot brake/single pot slave cyl mc. If the 20 doesn't have it, then no worries, but it's not solely a C30 thing - pic above is an original (except for motor swap) 62 c10 I bought some time ago.

If the truck has a manual trans, you will have to also add a separate clutch master. I make a conversion kit for this, or you can fab and source the parts yourself.

Re: Drum/Drum dual master for 62 C20?

No, it currently has a 350/350 in it. We're swapping the 6 from the C30 into the C20, but keeping the Th350.
