Bed liner the cab.

What have you guys used for bed lining the cab, how did it help With noise and heat? I have realistic expectations from a convertible in south Florida, but anything I can do to help with either would be great. Anyone used lizard skin? What about colored bed liner, the truck is white, but I think white Bedliner would get gross and black would be hot. And lastly the body shop that's painting the truck is talking about making his own bed liner, anybody been there?

Re: Bed liner the cab.

I sprayed my own. I have carpet over the bed liner and I think it keeps the noise down. A shutz gun is cheap. Most of the time is spent prepping for the liner. I'd so it again if its a driver and not a full on restoration. I use my truck for camping, hunting and fishing in the middle of nowhere so it was the obvious choice for me.

I also have bed liner under the carpet. I coated the entire floor of the tub with POR 15 and then used their spray on bed liner coating as a top coat. I just wanted to make sure my rust free tub stayed that way and would be well protected.

Check out Monstaliner. Can be sprayed or rolled. Jeep guys love for wear and it comes in colors.

Lizard skin with ceramic on the bottom of the tub for heat protection. You can paint over it too...

Inside, if you can afford it, Line-X. It can be color matched. Depending on the truck, you could do a light grey in the bed or an accent color.
Should act as a sound deadener and easy to clean. You can add carpet over the top in the cab section. I went with black inside (I'm in Las Vegas NV) and I actually used Line-X on the exterior of the entire truck, but in white.
It's not done yet...
