WTB: rear hub caps for 15" 1972 and other questions
I have 3 nub wheels and disc brakes on my K10. What is the difference between 3 or 4 nub in regards to disc?
Wanted rear caps to match what I have. Is there a special color white to powder coat the wheels to or just bright white to be original? |

The 3-nub won't clear the calipers. The contour had to change when disc brakes came out and the 4th nub was added to identify them. No problem on the rear. I always powder coated in plain old white, but the correct color is an ivory so it's off a shade but never had anyone comment on it. Sure looks great. Are you looking for Chevy or GMC hubcaps?

So why do my 3 nub miss my calipers? |

Couldn't tell you, but you asked the difference and I gave the answer. I have never seen them clear and it was when discs came out that the 4th nub was added. Maybe "some" drum brake wheels will fit, but going 4-nub is your sure bet. You are the first I have seen with 3-nubs that fit discs. The Chevy 6-lug drum brake wheels won't fit a Toyota 4wd and I think they have smaller brakes.
