Clutch adjust, 66 250, 3 tree

Noticed they my clutch for rests on my frame.. Now with new motor it feels as if the clutch needs to be adjusted

Feels as if it's not releasing completely
I have rod with V shaped end that rests in the clutch fork
If I adjust it forward it will release it fully but will it slow it to engage fully?
Or am I going to have to bend the rod to clear the frame?

from your pic, it looks like your z - bar has slid over far enough that the linkage is hitting the frame. Their should be a snap ring in your z - bar assembly that holds the ball in position. Yours is missing or broke, allowing the side shift of your linkage.

that is more than likely it or the bushings are missing and worn out. there is a bend in Chev Zbars and I believe that the GMC are straight across. was why I asked that question above

Doesn't seem like it's fully disengaging either

So adjusting the rod just so before it touches the TB fork?
The spring should keep it tight but I should have 1-2" of free play at the top of the peddle travel?
It doesn't engage till almost the top

Any diagram showing this exact clutch linkage?

Your throw out bearing should have enough clearance not to spin when clutch is engaged. Best way to make sure is to remove inspection plate below clutch, then you will be able to see your free play. Here is a exploded view of clutch linkage:
