Thoughts on this cam reccomendation for my LS
I am in the process of building a 408 stroker for my 74' C10
I got a cam recommendation based on all my engine specs. I tend to lean toward their experience since I don't know but I like to hear opinions. So I thought I would see what thoughts were. cam specs are as follows 235/248 .609/.595 114+5

Re: Thoughts on this cam reccomendation for my LS
Looks pretty healthy. Not going to have much vacuum for power brakes. The 114 will help on the idle.
Lots opinions on less duration on the exhaust side. I'm guessing L92 heads? If you are running an auto a 3200-3500 stall converter would be nice. What kind of gears ratio? I did a 427 cube LS with a bit smaller cam. L92 heads and it did 480 at the rear wheels. Very easy to tune and ran great on the street. Not monster numbers but great mid range in a 3000 pound Nova. |
