Paint code question

After years of search I found my mystery colors: desert sand metallic, and doeskin tan, though my only problem now is that I don't know the codes! I'm going to be painting soon, so any help is appreciated, good thing I noticed this before I ordered wheatland yellow. Thanks. I found this info by looking at an old brochure, and found my truck's doppelganger with its colors listed.

Re: Paint code question

Don't have one for desert tan, but I do have a code for doeskin tan.

Re: Paint code question

Check out paintref.com. Should be straight forward to find the paint codes once you enter in the make/model/year. This looks like Doeskin Tan for instance: http://paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorcod...ruck&sname=Tan

Re: Paint code question

Thanks, for the help, but I can't seem to find this color on any sites. It is commonly mistaken as wheatland yellow, though I know for a fact, it is desert sand metallic, if you have a truck this same color, could you please tell me your paint code. My glove box tag is missing. Thanks. Name: 20160410_143553.jpg

If you are really desperate you can send your VIN and $50 to the GM Heritage Center and they will pull the original invoice for your specific truck, complete with full RPO content and pricing.

Re: Paint code question

For 1985:

Desert sand metallic = 64U

Doeskin tan = 61L

"U" = upper, or primary color

"L" = lower, or secondary color

K

(Disregard the highlighting from a previous question)
