This is an older thread, but most of what has been said is still accurate. There is a lot more options for LED headlamps now, especially for the 7" round lights. Still not as many choices for us GMC guys with our 4 little weak headlamps. It looks like the best options for the 4 headlamp setup is the Hellas with relays.

Thanks for pointing out the time that might be tolerable for rehashing, or beating a dead horse.

How about totally replacing the round unit, and install a 4" (or close) LED in each '69 grill opening continuing across?

These pictures are of mine. I have the relay's and the HID bulbs. I think they work great and I drive my truck a lot day time and nights and I have never had on coming traffic flash their lights at me.
The relays I think are the biggest help to any light you install in these model trucks.
I would like to see the light pattern of these projector bulbs if anyone has them.

Got these off of Amazon, they are glass and use h4 bulbs, can be converted to hid

Chassis is still being built, although finances are tight right now anyway, hopefully the project will start back up soon.

My Driver Seeing the USA in a 71 Upstate SC GM Truck Club 2013,14 and 2016 Hot Rod Pour Tour http://upstategmtrucks.com/ Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun! It sucks not being able to hear! LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB! After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811.
