buy a 64' or 70'
Ok guys I already have a 62' that I'm building and looking for something to build in the future. I have the chance to buy a 64' or a 70'. Just wondering what people would go with. I like the 70 because it's a different design then I have now. One more question the 70' is a c20 with a utility box, I was thinking that I can swap out box with fleet or step also going to shorten the frame to short bed. I plan on lowering too. It being a c20 is that going to be a problem or is it basically a heavy duty c10. Both are selling for around 900 just need some input .

For the 70,
The front suspension can easily be changed to 5 lug (1/2 ton) The rearend can also be swaped out for a 5-lug 12-Bolt. Not much work. . The 64, Is it a 64? The emblem on the front fender is for a 66.

Ok thanks I just wasn't sure if it could be made to work. I have a front end from a 85' burb I can use and I'll get a 12 bolt for back. If it has leaf springs can those be change out?

I actually think that 70 was my friends truck, I found the bench seat and steel wheels for him. Sad it made its way to a tow yard looks like. It is a coil spring rear. Where is it located? It ran well but smoked a lot. He just had changed the steering wheel. Tell me if it had a glass knob shift knob and it definitely was my friends also if there is a hoodads sticker in the back? Well good luck looks like you can't loose either way. If you don't buy it and it's still around let me know.

I couldn't get ahold of my friend I was interested in buying it back for him if he lost it, but he must have sold it. It would make an awesome shop truck. It definitely is a solid runner it did smoke a little. I think he had done the master cylinder not long ago. I saw him recently towing a Nissan pick up so it definitely works. I'd buy it myself but I still have my 65 I haven't finished or else I'd jump on it especially for 900. It would make a really really cool work shop truck with a logo on the doors.

I like the truck a lot but I was going to convert to c10 and bag it and shorten the frame but wast sure if it was worth doing all that work or just finding a c10. I liked the price and looked pretty solid.
