Fawn colored Suburbans, and Pickups
OK, I did a search on the sight for Saddle Fawn colored 60-66 Suburbans, and Pickups, but the only thing that comes up is for the interiors. I'm sure there was a posting quite awhile back about this, but can those of you who have this color on your trucks, re-post your pictures? I'm thinking of doing my 65 Suburban Fawn and Antique White like I had it in 1996-1999.
Thanks everyone. |

Before I knew it was called Fawn, I always thought it was Gold:

Re: Fawn colored Suburbans, and Pickups
Lots of nice trucks. Definitely got to have the white top to make the Fawn stand out. When I had my Sub done in the color way back when, that's when I found out "poly" means metallic. Do they make a non metallic Fawn color?

Re: Fawn colored Suburbans, and Pickups
Fawn and Saddle, as far as proper GM exterior colors go, are two distinctly different colors. Fawn is non-metallic and a bit lighter tan-ish color. Saddle is metallic, darker, and slightly gold-ish hue. Both were limited to certain years of production. Most of our interiors are called medium Fawn metallic, which as far as i know was never offered as an exterior color. Just sayin.

Re: Fawn colored Suburbans, and Pickups
Thanks for clearing that up for me, oem4me. I would rather have a non metallic color as it's easier to take care of on a daily driver.
