How many of you drive your trucks everyday as in Daily driver... I'm still working bugs out of mine...But I plan to drive it as much as I can....

Re: Daily driver

I've been driving mine every day for the last couple of months. I really enjoy it. Even without A/C, they aren't that uncomfortable.

Re: Daily driver

My two motorcycles serve as my daily commuters, but I'm currently working the bugs out of my '66 so that it can serve as a daily if necessary. I sold my modern car to pay off some debt, so the '66 is my only 4 wheeled vehicle, aside from the "running when parked" '60 Ford F-250 that has been resting in my backyard for 6 years now.

I drive mine as much as I can when I haven't broken something. I average couple days every week as my DD.

Re: Daily driver

My 65 is my DD, I drive the wheels off of it! Even before the LS swap there is no telling how many miles I put on it. Made multiple hundred mile trips in it. Part of my reason for the LS swap after the 327 decided to explode on me LOL!

Re: Daily driver

Mine goes to work at least twice a week. Regularly to the store and such. But I will not haul anything in the bed, I have another truck and trailer for that. I am planning on taking it on vacation this year to.

Re: Daily driver

Use mine as much as possible until the first salting of winter. then it is garaged until spring thaw. I avg 80 +- miles a day plus weekend runs. I am getting mid 17mpg with an occasional 18mpg. I am so used to driving it that I forget it's a classic. I get honks and thumbs up and I wonder 'what the hell are they.... oh yeah!'

Damn straight. Trucks are meant to be driven.

This is last Saturday in downtown Salt Lake. Hauled chairs to a fancy to do at a black tie event.

Re: Daily driver

We drive our 1965 almost every day...but the last week my wife's car has been in the shop, so the c10 has been the DD....with leaking and burning oil and 7 MPG it has been faithful.
