What year Blazer frames will a 61 Chevy Apache C10 fit on? Would like to know to convert to a 4x4.

None, without a ton of work. Wheelbase is wrong, body mounts are wrong.

This question (what frames will work) comes up very frequently. The answer is nearly always the same. Dont bother with frames of different years. Putting a 60-66 on a more modern frame is typically not worth all the extra work and fabrication needed. Granted lots of people do it and with varying degrees of difficulty and varying degrees of success. But unless you have a fairly larger budget and/or the skills to pull it off, your usually much better off sticking with the same years. Most will tell you to just find a 60-66 4x4 frame and stick with that. Even if you have to modify the frame for drive trains your better off modifying a correct period frame than one from another body/year style. For strait swaps, there is no year frame for any make or model (blazer or otherwise) that will fit the 60-66 body style.

there is a fellow in Bonner's ferry who has 4 x 4 frames to fit your truck and that is not to far way

You can use any 69-91 K/5 frame. True, the wheelbase is too short, but you probably already knew that, since Blazers are shorter than pickups. As with swapping any body, there will be body mounts to deal with fabricating. Width is right and general front to behind seat dimensions are very similar. People use Blazer frames for projects like this because there are far more good frames out there than bodies. A 69-72 would be the easiest because they're a few inches shorter ahad of the cab, about the same as 60-66.

I always wanted to take a Blazer frame and build a 60-66 Blazer on it. I'm talking 4wd with full soft top. Years ago I figured I'd use a Suburban, but I don't think I'd cut one up like that now

Here in the state of Idaho if you do not follow the proper legal requirements when switching frames (frame and cab with different VIN's) you run the risk of having your vehicle confiscated by the Idaho State Motor Vehicle investigator and it possibly being crushed.

With that said if you use a '73+ frame there will be a good bit of fabrication work involved and you will end up with about a 3" body lift. Been there done that.

If Lyle up in Bonners Ferry has a '60-'66 4x4 frame. that would be the best foundation to start with.
