Modified my intake cover

I wanted a little different look for my intake cover. I got my hands on a second cover so that I could delete the cutouts for the harness since I made my harness to exit in the rear. I also shaved the front emblem and 2 of the bars on top. I plastic welded everything using a $15 Amazon soldering iron.

That looks good! Where did you get your coil covers?

They are Edelbrock covers with the emblems shaved

I had to modify them a decent amount to fit around the accessories, but most of it is hidden.

What did you use for filler on the cover to smooth out the plastic welds and where the emblem was removed?

Nice work on the covers, On a different subject what intake tube kit did you use I am running into space issues on the GMC I'm building and you have what looks like what I need.

It's just a $50 kit from eBay. I bought one for a 99+ Silverado 1500. It's a spectra wannabe kit, but it works

I used glazing putty and got it close and the I put on several coats of high build primer and wet sanded with 400 grit before painting.
