Front fender bracket
I know that the front fender is supposed to have a bracket but I can't remember where it attaches. It does not hold anything on it is just for support. The bracket itself is 4-5 inches long and a little bit wider than 1 inch. Can someone post a photo of where it is supposed to go.

Re: Front fender bracket
I can't find a picture of it right now but if it's the one I'm thinking of, it goes on the top of the fender near the door and hangs out in the gap below the cowl cover.

Re: Front fender bracket
Thank you both for your replies. The bracket is not in the exploded technical drawing and it is not the one referred to in the photo. It does not hold on a gasket. It is some kind of support bracket. I think it goes somewhere near the front of the fender.

Re: Front fender bracket
Got a picture of it?
I don't recall anything like that going on the front of the fender when I put my front end back together. |

Re: Front fender bracket
now that I think about it it might have been in the front of the inner fender inside the wheel well connecting to the rad support. Sorry I don't have a photo right now.

Re: Front fender bracket
huh. That's funny I remember those being there also but I am sure there are brackets for inside the wheel well also. Now I have to look to see if those are there.

Re: Front fender bracket
These? They are spot welded to the front and bolt though the core support. Ive got all of the front sheetmetal off of mine. If you need more pics, let me know.

Re: Front fender bracket
Thank you all for all of your help but I am still not seeing what I was remembering. Maybe I am not remembering correctly.

Re: Front fender bracket
I think you are right LVPhotos. I installed those brackets in the place where that diagram shows. They fit perfect. I don't know what I was thinking of.

Re: Front fender bracket
Are you talking about the bracket on the rear of the fender that has the weatherstrip stapled to it and runs up and down on the inside of the fender? I don't have access to a pix but is that what your asking about?
