Re: Right side small block engine perch
Sorry, fits small block V8, six cylinder mounts are different. I've seen them for sale on this board before.
If you are in a pinch I do have a set that came off my 250 6 cylinder that I am willing to sell.

Re: Right side small block engine perch
I just assumed that the 250 and the 292 used the same mounts.

Re: Right side small block engine perch
This is from shawno72 on this board if he is correct the mount I have advertised will work for you.
292 Motor Mount Tower I also have a 292 currently in my truck. The passenger side mount is the same as a small block v8 mount and the drivers side mount is the same as a 250 mount. So your current 350 mount on the passenger side will stay in the exact same place while you will need to buy one drivers side 250 mount and bolt into the rearmost set of holes that should already be in your crossmember and frame.

Re: Right side small block engine perch
I found this pic on the forum shows the position of the passenger side small block perch fo th 292 engine. I understand this is fo clearance for the 292 mechanical fuel pump.

Re: Right side small block engine perch
I saw this picture as well -- It looks like we may have a winner on the parts search -- For some reason I thought the the 292 PS mount was a unique application -- Thanks for everything --

Re: Right side small block engine perch
Well-- I finally got the engine part way in and it didnt fit -- There apparently IS a specific perch for the 292 PS and the 350 perch will not work -- So it's back to looking for the correct part --

I don't think the grey frame bracket in post #7 is a SB V8 bracket, unless it has been modified. Not sure what it is though. If you look close at his picture in the first post and compare that bracket to the one in post #7 you can see that they are not the same. Where the writing is on his there is a big bump on the one in the picture in post #7. If I can remember I will look tomorrow. I have all four types, SB, BB, 250, & 292. LockDoc

Re: Right side small block engine perch
For comparison -- Neither of these will match the 292 motor mount bolt pattern -- Does somebody have one that does? -- I can do Paypal -- Thanks --

Re: Right side small block engine perch

I posted a thread with pictures in the 67-72 pickups forum instead of here in the classified forum to keep from mucking it up.... http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=732393 So the pass side frame bracket in post #7 is a real 292 bracket, not a SB V8. LockDoc
