New Guy from Bay Area Ca

Hey fellas. I just joined the square body world and had a question. I have a 1987 Scottsdale. The parking lamp on the left side doesn't work when turNed on, but the bulbs blinks when I use turn signal. Any suggestions on this issue? Thanks.

Welcome!
Replace the bulb. It's a dual filament bulb. The park light filament is most likely broken/bad.

Hmmm,

Could be many things. Bad socket, bad wire, broken wire, bad splice, ect.

No problem, wish I could help more. If you have a multimeter you could start by checking for voltage in the light socket.

Wowzers!! Impressive build man! Truck looks freaking awesome! Where in Northern Cali are you from? I need to paint my wheel wells myself and a few little details, but the truck is pretty clean. Last owner took really good care of it.

Thanks! I'm in the Sacramento area. That previous owner did take good care of that truck by the looks of it! What are your plans with it?

Re: New Guy from Bay Area Ca

Nice. Sacramento, so close yet so far. I'm in SF. Plans are just to maybe throw some wheels on it. Thinking 20 inch Torque Thrust 2s with some meat, but I like the stock rally look as well. I know a ton of people have that combo but i really like that classic look. It has a 350 with 120k original miles and a rebuilt 700r. Runs great. I bought it in Brentwood and drove her home in 90+ degree heat and made it home with ease. I was also thinking of going 2 tone with the paint, but I'm sort of digging the simplicity of the all white paint.

Super clean! Looks good how it is. Really like SF. The old lady is from a little north of there around Marin County.

Re: New Guy from Bay Area Ca

What do you guys think about these wheels? I'm thinking 22x8.5/10. Truck is lowered 3/5. Would I encounter any major issues with this set up? Any input would be great especially if any of you are running 20s or 22s on your squares. Thanks.

What's the right BS? Most guys on here say 5" up front and 5.5" out back? Sound correct?

Welcome. Great looking truck. I have a white short bed too.

There is a C10 cruise night in San Jose every week. Usually Fri or Sat night. If you are on instagram they post up the details weekly @c10clubsanjose is the guy's page.

http://c10source.com/c10-club-cruise-night/ usually has the info. They have a newsletter you can sign up for that has info emailed to you as well.

Here is my 75. Still have quite a bit to do before I have her running though.
