power steering pump bracket

I have a1956 chevy 3100 350 sbc, long water pump, cast iron exhaust manifolds, vortec heads. I am using front motor mounts. Is there any factory or after market power steering pump brackets that will clear the motor mounts?

Re: power steering pump bracket

I have the same, here is what I fabricated. Note it uses the long water pump with the cast bracket hole. I also made my AC and Alternator brackets matching up the pulleys was a PITA, you cannot mix and match two and three groove lowers with uppers, they come as matched sets.

Re: power steering pump bracket

I used a p/s pump mount off of a 1980 Chevy truck with 350 engine. Be sure to get the part off of the exhaust manifold that the locking bolt threads into. I'm using a long water pump and I suggest that you get all of the pulleys off of the engine that you get the mount from. The pump wouldn't swing down far enough until I ground a notch out of the left side engine mount bracket, but you don't have to remove enough material from the bracket to weaken it.
