It is indeed a 6 volt. I am hooking the battery up with positive going to the frame and negative going to the starter. I believe that is the intended way.

Styling fads come and go, but originality is timeless.
It's only original once. If you change anything, the originality is lost forever. However, that tends to make a owner a slave to the originality. That truck is too nice to change. If you want a hot rod, there are a couple of dozen trucks with no drive trains on Craigslist at any given time. Their originality is already gone - they are ripe for modification. |

On the other hand, they only made a million or so of these things, and there's tens of thousands of these as nice or nicer as yours.
